The People in Egypt want Democracy and the West has to support them

The people want democracy in Egypt and they are right. The West should no longer support the system Mubarak and help the to move forward towards democracy. It really is a scandal that this despot has been so long supported by Western powers. A man who has humiliated and oppressed his people up to the utmost. These humiliations against its own people endured for almost 30 years, and now discharges in a few days. The days of Mubarak's term in office are numbered. The question remains though how much blood must be shed, until he understands that it is time to step down. The West, especially America, but also Europe would do good to tell the despot in a diplomatic way and make clear that he should step down immediately to pave the way for a free and democratic Egypt. The revolution shows how important the Internet has become and which the mostly young Egyptians used to initiate the revolution. Free communication via Twitter, Facebook, Google & Co is the invisible and helping hand in this political upheaval. A free Internet needs a free and open society. In other words, the days of inhuman tyrants and governments are counted when people are allowed to have free access to the internet. I appeal to all people in the West especially in Europe to help the people in Egypt and support them on their path to a democratic Egypt. It is in their own inters test and in the interest of the world to help with the democratic process in Egypt. God bless the people in the squares and places in Egypt who sacrifice their lives for freedom and the people who already have been sacrificed.
